Man that play sure looks terrible

The Widdershins books have arrived! Come buy one right here right now, only £9.99 for 68 pages of full-colour shiny joy!

The Widdershins Book Club is also now open for business, which allows you to subscribe to receive each new book hot off the presses, and gets you some shiny extras too!

I’d super-appreciate it if you’d buy my silly wizard book!

The last panel does remind me of a certain Drow.

That’s a terrible play. There’s no point in Leon killing himself if Violet is just going to bring him back.

Also, I spy a crisis of conscience, a conflict of interest, and somebody dropping bold formatting one letter early.

Pity missy Councilwoman looks so dour. She and Jill’d get along excellently!

If it wasn’t clear she is behind this, it is now IMO.

I hope she isn’t behind this. That her reaction is just from her hatred of that twit’s reaction to the work he is doing for her.

The fact she reacts to the crowd as if the debate is still going other then showing actual concern over the safety of others for me she’s definitely behind it. That and the fact is just happened to occur during the debate?

I didn’t think Ben was in on Fairbairn’s plot even when I was speculating about it, and I’d say the last two panels are fairly strong evidence that he isn’t.  But the question still remains, who and what is causing all these buggerups?

I’d say… she probably hired another wizard and told them to cast a spell that makes these magic users tired as they try to summon?

    • Sir_Krackalot

Remember when Ben mentions how the spirit of Hunger is close to that of Gluttony, one of the “Deadlies”? Now which emotion (as spirits are obviously embodiements of them) would be most likely to cause tiredness?

  • Ah! I’d been looking for an excuse to link this one up properly, and thanks to the newest play I can now do so! :D

Violet and Leon, eh? And Violet’s actress is fleeing the building.

  • Heh, a Leon and Violet piece. Well played.

    • Sanjay Merchant

I am going to assume it’s an opera.  Why?  Because it’s more fun that way (to me at least)!

“Ms Fairbanks”?  Isn’t Ms a little anachronistic?  (Though why that tiny lapse in realism should bother me in a setting that literally runs on magic, I don’t know.)

Because you’re so great at putting in things like the (AWESOME) Leon and Violet poster, I feel like the one with Miss Smith and her bicycle to the right of it is referencing something too, but I can’t figure out what it is!

  • Sanjay Merchant

Say, that woman fleeing on the left edge of panel two, that wouldn’t be the actress (singer?) playing Violet? She rather looks the part.

  • Ilmari

The Tragic Love Story of Leon and Violet… T’would make for a good heart-rending tale… except perhaps the part where she reanimates him as an undead abomination in servitude to a diabolic power.
