You mean AWESOME at being a hostage.

    • Oarboar

Yep. “Gosh, do I want to risk a rope around my neck for the death of someone who’s been a pleasant and encouraging chat, or should I conk Fairbairn over the head with something handy and foil her nefarious schemes? Hmmm, tough choice.”

Jill would have it done and be out of there three weeks ago!

        • Rosemarie

I think Jill would disagree ;)

I did not realize until this comic just how awesome Wolfe is. Wolfe, you’re super awesome. Like, holy crud, how are you that great a guy?

  • Sanjay Merchant

SHE’S GOING TO TAKE HIS BENDING AWAY!

    • KomiIsDrawing

I actually just sunk a good 15 minutes of thought into what kind of benders most of my characters would be. This is your fault :P

      • Sanjay Merchant

Well, the least you can do is share the results with us. Gotta give the crossover fan art community something to work with. (I will not be doing said art because I can’t even draw a stick figure.)

        • KomiIsDrawing

It is a doofy line of thinking but anyway.. Pretty much all of the Barbers would be earthbenders, Sid would be air (it just looks fun, I think he’d have fun with it), Wolfe would be water (it’s elegant ok), Mal fire (though he’d make a fun lazy shirking Avatar), and Ben would not want anything to do with the whole messy business.

And just like that, I have the awkward feeling that have written fanfiction for myself.

Can’t remember the title, but there’s a page on TVTropes about this…

Ah! Not the Hannibal Lecture (which is what i first thought i remembered), but this.

(WARNING! If you have never been to TVTropes.org before, be aware that if you are not Very Careful, you may suddenly discover that you have been fascinatedly clicking link after link for three or four hours!)

Dear ol’ TV Tropes! There’s a page for Widdershins there, which some lovely people have been filling!

    • I can’t help but feel there must be a trope for when the happy hero is sincerely offering advice though– even if Wolfe’s hoping it might help him get out, I bet he is quite honest in his belief this mook should pursue his life dream instead of falling to crime. ; D Love this page!

Love this page!

  • I thought I adored your first story arc. Then you went into THIS story arc. When I get a real job, I am going to buy this comic.

Is it just me, or does this dreaming jailer look like he’d be great for the part of Leon?
