I may just abandon these main characters and repalce them with the odd fever-dream potato men in the first panel.

Sorry for the schedule slips, real-life issues. May be spotty til next week, I can only apologise and hope you guys are cool with 2 updates a week instead of 3 sometimes.

There potatoe men are cute maybe you should do a side story where they hunt for female potatoe men…or beer!…second thought both those ideas sound too weird and if you did a side story you would have less time for your main story so ignore me :P

    • Or they go hunting for beer and find the horrors of vodka (made from potatoes if I remember correctly)

  • Sir_Krackalot

If this is what Jack sees normally, I wonder what acid would do to him?

As far as I’m concerned: We should be glad if you won’t abandon the whole comic over personal issues (allthough I’d understand that, too)

    • KomiIsDrawing

Oh, I won’t be doing that! It’s just been kind of a tumultuous week, started out with my cat having to be put down, and went rather downhill from there..! All’s well in general, though.

      • Frankie D.

Downhill from a dead cat? Did it come back as a zombie?

      • LongLiveHumour

I’m really sorry about your cat. *internet hug*

        • KomiIsDrawing

Ahh it’s ok, she was always kinda ill, nice to have her at peace one way or the other, really. Thanks :)

  • So tempted to make a comment about Mal having a magic nose too… and don’t worry, I look forward to this comic every update, but I totally understand when real life trips up the ideal schedule, as I’m sure most do. ^_^ Like Phil says I’m glad you’re making this comic at all! Be healthy and happy!

    • TrueWolves

Already made that comment a few comics back, and that is what is causing dizzyness when wizards open themselves to the spirit world. That yet might be true!

      • Yeah..and Mal smelling it but not Ben would support that too. My only problem with that is that would imply only wizards would be affected– like it was some combination of being open to the spirit world and whatever was in the lamp oil, any yet whatever it was sure knocked Wolfe out fast! If it’s just some general knockout chemical that can affect anyone, why are only the wizards ever sleepy? Maybe the lamp men have a spare can with ether in it for nosy Tintin impersonators? Or you need a large dose right in your face if you’re not magic? Hrm…..o.o

      • Oh derp..I thought only eyes and ears had been covered but you’re quite right. : P And yeah.. Mal smelling it but not Ben would support that too. Edit: You know what? If you color sample that fourth panel, the whole city scape is totally gray scale, but that smell is faintly blue. I would hazard that might support the ‘magic smell’ theory!

  • Nonesuch

This is good for them. ^^ They’re learning to work together without Wolfe as a buffer.
