  • Ganurath

Well, there goes my prediction of snogging.

    • JWLM

I totally ship Izzy + Henry + Mr. Lux. The OT3some.

      • RumpPickle

Going OTT with your OTP’s is the only way to roll.

      • Sanjay Merchant

We all know Izzy/Henry/Large Bodies of Water is the OT3.

        • Columbine

          I totally started a thing :) *smugness*

      • JWLM

Watch out, Kate — I may ask you to draw them together when you’re at ECCC in April…

  • Darkoneko Hellsing

Greed is a pretty good sport.

now handcuff the other hand on Lux !

  • So what happened? Did you die?

    • Columbine

Can some one with a better memory make a Prince of Persia reference here please?

      • wilddeath

“No no no that’s not how it happened.” *rewind sound*

        • Columbine

          Much obliged!

          • No no, that didn’t happen either. *wipbipbip!*!

            • evilvillain

I was thinking maybe à la Princess Bride:
“Yes, you’re very smart. Shut up.”

              • Sanjay Merchant

Or maybe what happens if you let Guybrush get “killed” by the acid trap in Monkey Island 2.

                • AJ

We’re not giving out medals for the most obscure reference you can make here, y’know.

….Or maybe we are. I’m not actually in charge of the medals.

                  • Sanjay Merchant

Most of what I take away from this is being saddened that Monkey Island 2 counts as “obscure”.

                    • AJ

Well… I *have* actually heard of the Monkey Island games… But in the context of this fandom, I’d categorize them as “reasonably obscure.”

  • John

Henry, Henry. Just because you’re disguised as a vessel for Pride doesn’t mean you have to pose for self-congratulation like she would.

    • Sanjay Merchant

When a Barber cosplays, he COMMITS, dammit!

  • Lord Barber should have taken a leaf out of O’Malley’s book and given Mr Luxuria a good kicking while he was down.

    • Sanjay Merchant

I don’t think O’Malley’s written his book yet, so it would be very difficult to take a leaf from without some Timey-Wimey Magic.

  • kuku

Well, dang. Don’t fall down the anchor, Henry, who knows what might happen.

I love the peacock’s reaction. Sloth doesn’t look displeased, though. Luxuria’s plan might have required too much activity.

    • AJ

Poor Sloth. He just wants to sit around, and people keep TALKING to him. Too much work.

      • Web

I would love to see a crossover and Sinscomic, if only for Widdershins Sloth to Laze around with Sin’s Sloth.

        • Dane 72

Wouldn’t that be a rather boring comic?

          • Not if the two Greed’s go on a pillage in the meantime!

            • Columbine

Lots of panels of sleeping sloths with SUDDEN unexpected and out of context thievery.

      • Iituem

“What? Oh, back to the spirit world I go. Sorry, what happened? I was sleeping.”

  • Sapphire altera

Heh. They disappeared in reverse order they appear in the comic. Nice touch :)

    • *does the “hooray, someone noticed a minor yet important thing” dance*

      • svartalf

I just got beat by someone else…I just got in and I caught that and was going to observe this detail myself. Well done, Kate…

  • Sanjay Merchant

    Isabelle: Let him go!

Mr. Luxuria: A very poor choice of words.

  • Sanjay Merchant

I love that Greed, at this point, is just resigned and is going to settle for some parting snark at Lust.

    • AJ

Greed is the only other one that we know has a conduit to the world, though, right? He’s got the Mark of Theives at this point, so he’s just like, “Welp, back to my own plans.”

      • Tsapki

Beware the power of the Snark Side?

        • Sanjay Merchant

          That’s good advice in general.

    • svartalf

He’s one for snark to begin with, as evidenced by his entrance into the story arc with his story…

  • Dane 72

Lux kills Henry, takes his image, marries Isabelle, and unexpected twist to the story is, that the bad guy is really their own grand father!

  • Columbine

I love Pride’s expression and how badass Izzy looks.

  • Emily Yang

They disappeared in the opposite order they have appeared in the comic so far; amazing!

  • ALMOST over.

I don’t see any fat ladies in winged helmets yet.

    • Sanjay Merchant

Which is odd, because when they show up, there are still something like 2 and a half operas left.

(Yes, I am aware that saying comes out of baseball, of all places.)

      • JWLM

Well, yes, but they show up singing in chorus. The fat lady sings a solo before she uses the world as her funeral pyre.

At the end of six hours with only one intermission.

  • Burke

Greed is just so classy about it all.

  • Jon

Pride comes before a fall? Very nice!

  • David Argall

The logic of magic is of course obscure, if not completely missing, but Lust may have made a serious tactical error here. While the artifact gives him advantage, its possession also makes him vulnerable. He now can be sent “home”. Lust may well know this, but he is likely too mad at his plans being spoiled to remember the point.

    • Tsapki

He is probably hoping for human error at this point. My guess is that he is using Henry’s peril and position to make Isabelle stop her casting at the price of Henry falling to his presumed death. He likely fully expects her to do so, seeing love as simply something to be exploited.

  • I like the way Greed is … less than respectful … from his first appearance. “Lux”, forsooth!

  • JWLM

I’m looking forward to learning how Henry wound up with the amulet in 1834.

  • Shee Soon Theng

Unfortunately, once the characters’ heads get to a certain size, it becomes very difficult to see where they’re looking at. In the last panel, I can’t tell if Luxuria is glaring at Henry or Isabelle.

  • silkalivedoll

Hmmm, Greed’s a good sport about this, isn’t he? One could almost say that he saw it coming. XD
