None of your book-thinkin’ here, thank you very much.

The Widdershins books have arrived! Come buy one right here right now, only £9.99 for 68 pages of full-colour shiny joy!

The Widdershins Book Club is also now open for business, which allows you to subscribe to receive each new book hot off the presses, and gets you some shiny extras too!

I’d super-appreciate it if you’d buy my silly wizard book!

  • This whole arc has me humming the ghostbusters theme to myself.

I would indeed sit on something like that– if you come out with it immediately, there’s no reason to continue your leniance as they’ll have no use for you. Like running out of work to do except, as Mal notes, they’re not being paid.

If you sit on it, you get to keep being “free” as well as get a significant bargaining chip should the situation ever arise.

‘Well, maybe we can get rid of ’em fer good, but only if you let us go for good after. Contracts’n everyfin. Yeah?”

    • Threnodi

Heheh, he’d have to admit he actually ‘X’ed a contract for the both of them, then. ; ) But I agree that if they figure out something surprising, it might be a handy bargaining chip if things go south. I guess we shall see!

        Something’s amiss.

Like perhaps another wizard buggering up the castings by the people having the malform mishaps.  Checkov’s Gun implies that the bunch working against their councilwoman (and maligning our boys…) may well have a major part- sleep/exhaustion spirit being summoned, perhaps?

        • Threnodi

I sort of wonder if Miss Fairbairn is setting up trouble herself. I’m not quite sure how, but that newspaper said something about her decrying wanton magic abuse, didn’t it? And then it cast poor Ben as the villain. I sort of wonder if somehow she is planning to set our boys up as fall guys to make herself look like a hero and ensure a vote. Ben seems to adore her, so she could easily lead him into a compromising situation, and she thinks Mal’s an uneducated half-wit who she more or less owns. And who’s going to miss them? She even liked that Wolfe was a ‘thug’, all the better to make people hate them?

Nice one with the German notebook. Just a few small things: “Die Post”, “Waschsalon” and “Gaststätte” instead of “Esszimmer”.
Anyway, I really like Widdershins and I can’t wait to see how this arc ends.

    • KomiIsDrawing

Dang translating sites! Thanks, I’ll change it when I get home.

      • gary102

If you want, I would offer to proofread or translate the odd german word.

        •  I think she was asking for an exclamation like ‘hey!’ or to get someone’s attention on her Twitter a few days ago– think it might have been for the previous comic tho so I wonder if it’s too late. ^_^;

In that case, I guess I subscribe to her Twitter and check. Thanks!

Ooh…perhaps a Sloth Spirit at work. A spirit causing the Buggerups.

Wolfe is awesome, he might be my favorite character. He’d be the nice one to meet anyway… smart, artistic, able-bodied, down to earth and well-meaning.

Well at least one of them has a keen intellect. In defiance of fantasy stereotypes, it’s not the wizard…
