Kind of a low point.

Hey, an anthology I’m part of is being Kickstarted right now! It’s another fairy tales book, this time African instead of Europeon tales, and it’s got some amazing names attached, go have a look!

Support the comic, buy some neat swag!

But the witch will only attend the party if the SNAKE is attending the party!

  • Eric

Based on his clothes, I wonder if Samuel speaks Old or Middle English and doesn’t quite get what’s being said to him.

    • Did the hotel even exist during the Middle Ages?

      • =Tamar

There may have been a hotel of one sort or another on the site in the Middle Ages, still in existence as an attached storage room.

    • someone

The hotel doesn’t seem old enough for Old or Middle English to have ever been spoken through it. At most, it might be Early Modern English.

    • Sanjay Merchant

Yeah, I was under the distinct impression that the hotel could only capture things and people from the time the summon kicked in until the destruction of the building. Granted, I could be wrong, but we haven’t seen anything that contradicts it….

The clothing isn’t necessarily that much of a clue; Europe and Asia were not very westernized until the mid-20th century, and even then traditional clothing persisted in some areas.

He could have just been someone from another country that was traveling through and stayed there…I guess.

    Does Alexa do sit-ups? :P

  • Weird Oregonian

Has it not occurred to the man that Phillipe might be in that dining room?

    • Don’t suppose Ethan liked Phillipe that much either.

  • Sanjay Merchant

Somethings been bothering me since the previous comic: how did Ethan get a change of clothes?

    • He was given the chef’s jacket when he arrived, he was wearing what he’s wearing now originally.

      • Sanjay Merchant

Ah, yes. I guess because Alexa got one too, that makes sense. So why don’t the others have uniforms? Maybe they don’t have them in sizes that will fit Rosie or Sam…? Do Edie and Gladys just refuse to wear theirs?

        • ShakeJake

A bartender is usually up front anyway, so the nice looking dresses fulfilled the requirements for a “uniform” when it comes to the roles they were called to fulfill.

  • Shirou Zhiwu

Time for the anarchists cook book.

Nope, the Audi ad is still covering part of the comic. It goes to,98516807,54458558,,!%2525eaid!

    • I’ve emailed the ad network that seems to be doing this, but haven’t had a reply yet.. I’ll block that one in particular right now though, thanks!

Gonna apologise again for this, it seems to be a problem across several networks and it’s a case of hunting down each ad in particular and bopping it on the head. Thank you tons to the folk who’re reporting these ads, since I’m in the UK I don’t see a lot of the US ones that’re causing trouble, so it’s a massive help to know!

      • Me-me

At least you don’t have those new ads that somehow open a popup and redirect you to a scam site.

Big Hulking Silent Guy could work for a theme park–best Viking bread ever.

I say let them go. No ideas coming from thence, and they present a dumbwaiter transport problem. Rosie will be helpful later with some magic on the hall side of the dining room door, as will Big Hulking, if the door needs busting down.
