That last panel, are those wedding vows or what? I can totally see Harry and Sidney sharing similar vows.

Harry: “I guess I’m stuck with you now.”
Sidney: “I can live with that!”

    • Ganurath

More like sticking around for the mission, but I could easily see a reprise in the vows.

    • Zero Xae’ith

I might have to borrow those lines one day. They’re perfect! XD

  • Darkoneko Hellsing

    Now kissssss

    • Tsapki

Dangit, now I’ve got that scene from Disney’s The Little Mermaid in my head.

  • So only Ms Holt’s bloodline can bind it. Could a powerful wizard desummon it, which would probably be a better outcome anyway?

    • JWLM

Only if it stayed desummoned. I can’t speak for Ms. A, but I assume that the necklace can always resummon Luxuria.

    • Tsapki

It actually might not be possible to desummon if it has a human body. Maybe that is the reason for a binding ritual rather than a normal desummon.

  • ThisCat

Pfff, there’s never enough boat soppiness. As you were.

  • Percabeth_trash

He’s got his hand on hers in the last panel ^^

  • szbnahl

So I’m guessing [POTENTIALLY SPOILERS IF I’M RIGHT] that they bind it and another Holt must be present to unbind it, hence the deadlies’ obsession with the Barber sisters. Probably bind wrath then too, judging by last chapter.

  • mendel

As long as there’s no Celine Dion, the soppiness is bearable. ;-)

    • RLB

I second both halves of this.

    • somebloke

This is the truest true thing I’ve read today.

    • Tsapki

Great, now they are going to hit a magic flying iceberg. You jinxed it mendel, i hope you’re happy.

  • Euodiachloris

    Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. *cough*

  • Columbine

Has anyone noticed….they haven’t crashed yet?

    • Shaddup! Shaddup! Shaddup! Shaddup! Don’t jinx it!

    • Darkoneko Hellsing

      Emphasize on “yet”

    • Falco

      They haven’t tried to land… yet…

      • Columbine

        Good point!

    • Sapphire altera

Turns out backstory is an effective safety mechanism. You wouldn’t think so, given that it distracts you from steering , but not everything in life is logical. :P

(Also: plot and dramatic tension trump logic.)

      • Columbine

I just know, deep inside, that by the end of this chapter something will be on fire.

    • DavidArgall

Ignoring that we need to get some plot exposition taken care [which means they can’t crash until that is taken care of], most crashes happen at takeoff or landing. Of course, we could have a storm or something, but it’s entirely reasonable that they have no troubles before trying to land.
      Probably not then either….probably…

      • Columbine

I’ve actually flown through a storm, it’s pretty cool. And I would very much like to see something do plot exposition while the main characters are crashing. The juxtaposition of panels would be grand.

    • Sanjay Merchant

Turns out the circles on the wings aren’t what makes it fly. Cunningham put those on specifically to prevent Henry from crashing the thing.

  • MoeLane

Panel four is Henry going I’m not sure why You decided to do me this favor, Lord, but I owe You one.”

  • John

The author has said too much soppiness on the boat. Expect incoming trouble in 1 or 2 strips, probably with a skyboat crash within at most a half dozen more strips.

  • Matt [in Middletown]

Panel 4 background: “Adventuuuuure awaits!” *pull on pipe*

  • MoonicaMusing

I love how unashamedly she’s shown taller than him in the last panel :)

    • Phlebas

Mm. She was taller than Victor, too, but not by such a margin. The heels contribute, but she is a tall lady.

  • Shee Soon Theng

I like look Izzy has in panel four: she has an important responsibility to fulfill, and she WILL fulfill it.

  • maarvarq

It’s apparent that her grand-daughters got their good looks from her.
