Reminds me of Burnett’s The Little Princess. Lovely!

  • wanderingdreamer

Ahh, seducing the help, classic technique!

    • Marvelous TK

Like, literally seducing? I could go for literally. I mean, from the others, I’ve gotten ships in Harry/Sidney (obvious) and Mal/Ben (well I say it’s obvious anyways), so this one has been… lacking in that regard so far. Plus, like, then I’ll have ships for every gender pairing! Monogamously speaking, of course. So basically it would make everything perfect forever.

      • Now I realize why Hollywood can never do away with the Mandatory Romantic Subplot. If they don’t put it there, someone else will

        • Marvelous TK

Oh, you poor, naive fool. Even /with/ Hollywood and everyone else putting them there, people still put their own.

          • fishsicles

If anything, people put their own there _in spite of_ Hollywood and everyone else putting them there.

          • Aye, that was the “someone else” I was referring to, actually

      • lara

I would ship them (like, really hard), but the fact that Nora is married blocks my brain completely on that regard :v… But by all means, if it works for you, ship them! modern navy stile! :D

  • He does fiddle with those buttons quite a lot, doesn’t he? Aw, she is extending the cake of friendship.

    • Frankie D.

      and the tea of approachability.

      • Bellar

and the open shirt of maybe-you-swing-that-way.

    • Sanjay Merchant

Is he fiddling with the buttons or the Precious that hands around his neck?

      • I think it’s not at all unlikely the one is related to the other.. ^_^;

  • Taijutsu

I’m trying to interpret Alexa’s face in the last panel to no great success. Is there somebody more versed in body language and face-ology who can help me out? :)

    • rainycity1

I took it as a “please don’t run off?” face, myself…

      • Who, me?

Definitely a “please don’t run off” face.

    • Zechikin

Body language is trying to be relaxed but her eyes are too wide making her look nervous. She’s smiling, trying to be friendly, but again, wide eyes and one eyebrow higher than the other giving the smile a false innocent look. Or, I could be reading too much into it. =)

      • Somebody

I wouldn’t say false innocence – it’s more uncertain innocence. The kind my dog gives me if he can’t tell whether my sister’s going to yell at him or pat his head.

  • Who, me?

What exactly are those desert-ish items? They look like (for lack of a better term) walnut brownie ingots.
Actually that is an awesome idea! Brownie ingots; worth their weight in gold!

  • Afrodiseum

You had me at brownies, I mean…uh….

  • cmgames

This may have come up in earlier days, but is that an

    El-ahrairah tattoo on her arm?

    • tinwatchman

It did, and yes it is.
