Alright, let’s dance.

Could still do with a few more guest strips before October! Comics, art, sketches, anything Widdershinsy would be appreciated! Send anything along to kojiro_muyo@hotmail.com, with the name you’d like credited, and any site you’d like me to link to.

  • Sanjay Merchant

Wait, I thought the spirit couldn’t see or hear outside the circle? Or does Mal’s gift allow him to ignore that rule?

    • Foehn

I was about to point that out. I mean, there’s not much of a point in making a super awesome dramatic entrance if the spirit can’t see or hear you.

      • KomiIsDrawing

Nah, it can’t hear him. He’s not bothered about that, though, he wants Fairbairn to hear him.

    • ShadeTail

It’s established that spirits can’t see out of the circle (here), but I believe it’s never been said whether or not they can *hear* through them.

    Yay, O’Malley!

  • Yay, O’Malley!

  • Me-me

“That advice be from me to ye.”

  • I hate to complain, because I can’t draw half this well, but something about the mostly solid light color behind O’ Malley in the last panel is just bothering me. My mind keeps telling me that it’s very odd for someone to have built two big doors that do nothing but hide a section of solid concrete wall. If he’s coming from outside I’d expect it to be a black or dark color behind him since it’s night out. If he’s coming in from another room in the warehouse I kinda want something to show depth behind him. Live a visible wall or some stacked boxes in the far background. Something like that. Still it’s an epic entrance and not at all what I expected! :)

    • KomiIsDrawing

Ahh, I’ll have a go at altering it later and see where I end up. Thanks!

    • Sanjay Merchant

I just took it that there was fog or mist behind him. Which would also be suitable for a dramatic entrance.

    • ShadeTail

Huh. Yeah. I didn’t notice that before, but it does look like he’s just standing in front of a concrete wall.

I feel like I’m making a lot of excuses for this page, guess I’ll have to edit it a lot before I make the next book. Can’t be passable every day, I suppose!

“I dispute the trade” would be “Negotio intercedo” in Latin

    • KomiIsDrawing

Luckily it’s not Latin! I tend to muddy it up some with random bits of Italian and spare vowels, because I’m not going to get accurate phrases for everything and thus it’s best not to try, and just make something that looks *about* right.
