August 19th, Part Two - The End.

This is an update in two parts, please check the previous page for the other half! Alternatively, click below for a full high res version!

Well, here we are..! The end of the story, but not the end of this world. I've let you know the direction our cast is heading, but what other capers they may get up to along the way are now yours to imagine. Thank you for joining me for this victory lap of a final book; it's my gift to you, and I hope you enjoyed it.

Someday soon I'll be popping a "The End" type page up here, but apart from that- this has been Widdershins. I hope you've enjoyed it as much as I have, if not more. It's honestly a little difficult to find the words to convey how I feel in this moment, mostly because I'm not quite certain how I feel about it myself, so if this comes off as a little stilted, I do apologise; I imagine I'll be lying down and staring at the ceiling for a little while before the reality of ending a 15 year long project truly kicks in.

It's been a hell of a ride, and I'm very grateful to those of you who came along, especially those who threw some coin my way- I know I say this a lot, but I seriously cannot thank you enough. Widdershins would have never existed without you. The wonderful community of readers who contributed to the comments also kept me going, with your wonderful theories and kind words of encouragement. I know some of you are sad to see it end, but I'm afraid all stories must have an end, and ultimately I have to agree with Envy- it's always best to leave 'em wanting more.

Another webcomic is on its way, and I hope you all come along with me on my next, somewhat odder, journey! I'm not saying much about it just yet, except that we're going on something of a... road trip. With spies. In space.

So yeah. If you want an email to let you know it when it starts, please check the "newsletter" bit on this site and pop your address in there- I'll only be using the newsletter once, to let you know when that has begun, so consider that a no-spam guarantee. Alternatively, you can follow me on BlueSky, Tumblr, Instagram or whathaveyou, and I'll be talking about it there when it gets going.

If you've had a nice time with this comic and would like to support/celebrate/mourn it, please do check out the Kickstarter I have running for the final print volume! The campaign ends Friday August 28th, so be sure to check it out before then. This will be your last chance to get a signed and sketched bookplate of a Widdershins character, so if that is a thing you want, please take a look!

If you're reading this at some later date and the Kickstarter is over, I'll endeavour to keep my shop stocked with print versions of Widdershins for as long as I possibly can, so do check that out.

If you'd like to lend some ongoing support to me and whatever I do next, please consider dropping as little as $1 a month on Patreon to help out- I will most likely be posting some teasers of my next project there soon!

If a one-time tip for your server is more your fancy, then here is where you can do that, via Paypal or Kofi.

However! If money is a little tight for you, that's really okay. Widdershins will always be here for you, for free, forever. If you fancy, you can still support the comic hugely by simply telling others about it. Let your friends know about this weird little wizard comic you enjoyed, post about it, whatever suits you. I have no publisher and thus no press, so any time people spread the word, it helps immensely. You can even leave a nice little comment down below, that would absolutely make my day.

So for now, we'll say goodnight to Widdershins, and I hope to see you on the other side..!

-Kate
