    Last panel : “MURDERRRRR”

    • Ocean Burning.

Haha, yeah. Verity’s face makes me wonder whether she’s even paused to think about having any kind of plan, or if she’s just charging into the melée.

      • MoeLane

Oh, she has a plan. She’s going to go find a *spoon*.

        • Nonesuch

Envy drove her too far by half.

        • Ocean Burning.

Is “spoon” here, um, a euphemism I’m not familiar with? : /

          • MoeLane

            No, it just hurts more.

          • Thomas Clarke

RIP Alan Rickman, you shone too brightly for this world.

            • Frank Earl

Yes, yes he did. Shame he left too early.

          • Frank Earl
            • Ocean Burning.

Thanks, that was really helpful. : ) Now here’s a movie I need to watch sometime.

              • svartalf

                Yep. It’s a good one.

          • Nonesuch

Naw, just think of the old threat “I am gonna murder them with a spoon!” and let your mind wander….

“Wrath’s been bound, right? We can feel that all we want without consequences? FANTASTIC.”

“Wrath’s been bound, right? We can feel that all we want without consequences? FANTASTIC.”

    • Dud

Presumably Wrath is now looking for a new conduit… Bindings don’t appear to be permanent or irrevocable.

      • Tikatu

Wrath has been desummoned and by the witch of Widdershins, no less. Someone would have to summon him to get him back.

        • Dud

We’ve already seen what strong emotion close to an anchor can do.

          • the Amazing Mister Moriarty

Yes, but Voss was inside the Anchor cave then. Now they are just in the same city, quite some distance from the Anchor.

            • AJ

Where we have seen evidence of strong emotions being okay to have. I mean, Verity is obviously really comfortable with her Wrath-spectrum emotions, and Wrath doesn’t show up whereever she is.

              • Frank Earl

I think you need to be IN the Anchor to be able to have that ability to summon.

    • Dud

  • r2d2go

I feel like Sidney would actually be pretty useful soon, for the whole binding of the deadly sin and whatnot…

Their job is to weaken the sins, not desummon them. That’s Mal’s job.

  • Pangaea

Mortal sin versus the wrath of a woman. What are the odds?

    • Pirate_Prince_Navarion

Well, he just pushed her off the stage, that should definitely count as “scorned”. And since “Hell hath nor fury…” I would say the sin is toast.

I love Wolfe, apologizing while he fights.

THe lid has been cut through so why did it open as one piece?

    • Panel looked better that way.

      • Dud

Ah, getting some use out of your artistic licence. Ok.

        • Stephen Riggs

Looks like her knee hit both panels AND the blade. Not sure why there’s not blood oozing down her knee. …

          • Wyvern

It’s a matter of perspective. Her knee did *not* hit the saw blade; it’s just that from that line of sight, the saw blade is “behind” her knee. (Same reason as when you’re measuring liquid in a container, your measurement will be off if your eyes aren’t level with the line.) If you look at where her other knee is, and where the wood is cut, you’ll see that they’re separated by several inches at least.

    • Panel looked better that way.

    • AJ

The friction of the saw pressed into the wood held it together, much like a woodworker’s join made by thrusting a thin piece of wood into a crack.

      • Dud

Only two hinges – and a saw should clear its cut – But Kate has explained.

  • Mr Hats

Sid my buddy, you really need to learn some escapology sooner rather than later.

    • Stephen Riggs

He shed Harry’s handcuff’s, easily enough.

      • Tsapki

I believe he got out of the cuffs because his Magpie snatched the keys.

        • Ocean Burning.

He needs the magpie to go fetch some scissors in a jiffy!

    • Grey_Moment

I’m thinking now might actually not be the time. Does he really want to be out there with what’s about to go down?

  • Sarah Hardister

I wonder if Kate is going to go dark with this segment and actually kill Voss this way…

  • Sarah Hardister

I wonder if Kate is going to go dark with this segment and actually kill Voss this way…

    • Jay

Nah, Envy doesn’t want to kill Voss – he’s the hero of the act (as declared by Envy). More likely Envy wants to kill *Wolfe*… after a suitable performance to confirm him as the villain, first!

  • Brother Nightmare

You know envy, I can’t help but notice you’ve armed three or your enemies here…and can only control two…

  • Nonesuch

Watch your tail, Envy, you’re about to lose it. :p

  • If she catches up with hm, the world may just have to get along with SIX Deadlies

    • Perhaps she should have taken a few seconds to put her glasses back on.

      • Haven

Who needs sight when you have spite.

        • I think Ms Cunningham is about to have a violent encounter with someone’s green fur muffler.

  • Ms Cunningham looks very cute when she is angry. I am not going to tell her that.

    • Ocean Burning.

But she’ll look soooooooo cute if you do : D

      • Almost worth it, but the food they serve in Widdershins Hospital is bloody awful.

        • TheGorram Batguy

Only because the meat’s under cooked. Fix that, and it’s merely awful.

  • Joshua Whiting

Ha… How long have you been waiting to use that joke? ;-)

  • falco

I can’t contain my love for that last panel :D

  • Eva Schiffer

LOL! Well, glad I guessed that part right. :)

  • So do they get to keep the costumes?

  • Mindsword

Not technically accurate. It can only direct 2 at once but earlier it caught all three in paralysis. Follows that it could paralyze more than 1 again. Fan out and destroy those lights, cause its 3 against 1 right now (Wolf, Voss and Envy vs Verity)

  • Laurel Brinker-Cole (Ayara012)

I get the feeling that Verity is about to be verity angry. :3

    • Ocean Burning.

      Verily.

  • auronblidook

    I caught up. NOOOOOOOOOOO!

  • VHough

All I can think is “I bet ach! is the same in German and English.” My brain is weird.

  • Hell hath no furry like am angry woman with a saw!

  • Ghostdanser

After considerable research I can find nothing in the rules frowning upon bringing a saw to a sword fight. Unconventional, but sporting.
