  • I wonder if the differences in Mage auras is showing Ben is agitated whereas the dozy guy isn’t…My, Ben’s going to need a -big- circle for that one..!

I think it’s indicative of what’s causing the malform epidemic.  Quite simply Ben’s beginning to twig onto something being up (Note how he noticed “tired”- like there’s a commonality here he’s just now noticing…)

Mal’s got an inside track on this- note the expression he’s had about this difference we’ve been seeing.  Like, “that’s…odd…” writ plainly on his face when he saw the first malform while on the job.

Methinks their employer’s up to something…

      • The sleepy guy’s aura -does- look a lot like the tired bread enchanter, but we can’t be sure weather that’s a reflection of them being quiet and tired or magically affected. I’d believe both. As to Ben I guess it could be a sign he’s agitated, weather from the crisis at hand or from some budding suspicion about the pattern involved. If you go back and look at Sidney he doesn’t look quite like either of them, so I’d guess even bright flashy wizard auras vary depending on mood and what-not even without outside tampering.

As to Mal, I haven’t noticed anything from him suggesting any of what’s happening looks any odder than normal, (where normal includes seeing malforms and auras at least ; ) but then based on how he reacted to Wolfe bringing up the pattern, even if something was odd I guess he might not want to stick his neck out and bring it up if he doesn’t have to.

And I’m with you on the employer suspicion. ; ) At the least if somehow she isn’t behind this I bet at the end she’ll be all ‘I didn’t do it, but if I’d thought of it first I -would- have!’

I hate to say this, but in the early days when this strip updated like clockwork, i was tempted to say “Who are you and what have you done with the artist from Darken?”

I waited (more-or-less) patiently for updates there, i can wait a bit here and there her…

Apologies, my schedule’s been shot to pieces since my husband lost his job a few months back. Had to move in with family and such and it’s really messing with my productivity. Hopefully I can get the balance back soon, though it might not happen til he’s employed/

        I wasn’t complaining – just being a wisearse.
