If they don’t, maybe they should.

Hey, an anthology I’m part of is being Kickstarted right now! It’s another fairy tales book, this time African instead of Europeon tales, and it’s got some amazing names attached, go have a look!

Support the comic, buy some neat swag!

  • Oh, here we go, that looks like it got a reaction!

  • awhorl

Such a good guess! Why didn’t I think of that? Still, I wonder what good he will be–decoy? collateral damage?

    • NightSprite

      Cannon Fodder?

    • He can do the classic “companion” role of screaming, asking stupid questions and getting rescued from the monster in the final showdown.

  • Here’s a possibility; change “you suck” to “your husband sucks”

  • She’s rather diplomatic. “Jerk” isn’t the word I would have used. :P

    • svartalf

Actually, it’s the very word needing to be used. Diplomacy’s not always being “nice” with the person the way you’re implying, SpitefulFox.

      • I don’t think you got the joke there. I wasn’t being sarcastic. The word I would’ve used would be “asshole” which I think would be less diplomatic than just “jerk.”

Unless you’re saying it would be MORE diplomatic to call him an asshole? o_O

If you wish to send such a card, be sure your local post office carries blackmail stamps.

  • Somebdy

Eeeeee, I wanna hear this conversation.

  • Sanjay Merchant

I am very confused. Why does the threat of being sent home with a nasty note frighten Ethan enough to comply? It’s not like she’s threatening to leave him behind when they escape, and it’s not like he can just ditch the note. So what, exactly, is she threatening him with?

    • Barium-Sulfate

I think she is reminding him that there are people he loves, whom he may never see again if he doesn’t escape. Raising the stakes.

      • And that if this does actually work, he’d be ‘the husband who wouldn’t even -try- to fight to get back to you, sorry he’s such a loser.’ Since he doesn’t care what Alexia thinks maybe he’ll care what his SO thinks..?

        • Toddtr

Plus he isn’t that far in the future from her. She could easily just wait a few years and then seek him out and give the message in person

  • pseudonym

    Loving that glare of his
    Like “HOW”

  • Timni16

    Oh hoho! She is clever!

    • svartalf

Isn’t she? I don’t think he realizes…there’s no way out other than through this plan. He’ll be “sent home” eventually- which is a fate worse than mere death, from what I can gather.

      • Timni16

So true! I think it might have to do with the spirit. And that s just freaky to think about
